Voyager Express Contractor Information Sheet

Pay: Please contact us for all pay information

Plus: A fuel surcharge program that pays weekly based on the national average price of diesel fuel as determined by the Department of Energy.

Taxes: Fuel and mileage taxes filed by Voyager Express and charged against contractor's settlement.

Licenses and Permits: Base plates and permits paid by Voyager Express, if the contractor meets the minimum mileage requirement of 118,500/year. (Prorated charge back if lease is cancelled within licensed year or requirement is not met.)

Contractor Requirements:

•  Driver must be at least 24 years old, minimum 2 years verifiable  over-the-road experience and pass all other DOT requirements.
•  Proof of physical damage and bobtail insurance and carry either workman's compensation or health insurance.
•  Licensing papers: copy of title, bill of sale to show cost of tractor, weight ticket, 2290 Schedule 1 (showing current payment of highway use tax), annual DOT inspection report.
•  Tractor must pass and meet Voyager Express requirements (See following).
•  Deposit of $1,000.00 minimum escrow (can be set up in weekly deduction).
•  All operating and maintenance cost of tractor furnished by owner operator.
•  Advance and settlement deductions available.
•  One time administration fee of $215.

To run in our fleet your tractor must:

1. be five years old or newer
2. have a maximum 260" wheel base
3. have a stack height of at least 13'6"
4. have a sliding 5th wheel
5. not weigh more than 20,000 lbs with 1/2 tanks of fuel
6. be electronically governed to run no faster than 75mph
7. have a right side, fender blindside mirror
8. be able to pass Voyager's certified safety inspection

All contract offers made by Voyager Express are contingent upon passing a DOT physical, drug test and driving test. These will be administered at the main terminal in Denver, CO.
